I attended a lec­ture by Bryan Eno last night.  It was quite insight­ful and enjoy­able.  Wish you could have been there.

I recorded the drums and per­cus­sion for a real cool EP by Ben Lear.  Ben’s a very tal­ented writer, and has a great ear for music.  His music has ele­ments of the Bea­t­les, Beach Boys, Stere­o­lab, Neil Young, you know…good shit!  Check it out at myspace.com/benjaminlear

Upstart is back at the Con­ti­nen­tal Room on Fri­day, Octo­ber 2.  If you are local, get your ass out there…you know it’s always a good time at the Conti.

The day is near­ing to begin record­ing the next Upstart album.  It’s quite excit­ing.  Can’t wait to get back in the stu­dio and work.  I don’t remem­ber hav­ing much of a clue about record­ing head­ing into the mak­ing of “Exhi­bi­tion.” I will always love that record for what it was and the time it was made, but I think we’ve matured and will ulti­mately record a stronger album this time around.  Alright…no pressure!
