Beauty and Knee comin’ to Viento y Agua!

Hello, Hello, Hello. Hope all is well in your part of the world. I can’t complain, although things have been noticeably busier since the school year started back up. After a nice, relaxing summer too. Anyway… Jen and I will be doing another “Beauty and Knee” show on Saturday, October 23 at Viento y Agua.

So come on out and show some love! I’d love to see all your smiling faces at our show!

Hey hey hey.…lots of exciting stuff going on. It’s for real; I actually started recording last weekend, with the Upstart Kids! We got some good sounds up at guitar-man Andy’s studio in Van Nuys. It was a pretty long day, but a great first day of work. Some scratch vocals should be thrown down this week, then hopefully we can get some horny horns on there. Step by Step! We had a great trip to Utah a couple weeks back; it feels a bit like a year ago now. Mike is burning a man this week. I started meetings at school, which is similar to Burning Man, I think. Keep on doing your thing wherever you are. We are all really excited to get some new songs recorded for your aural pleasure! Keep checkin the calendar as shows pop up this fall. Upstart is Comin’ to Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach 8/8/2010!

Hope the summer is treating you well. I wanted to let you know that Upstart is doing a cool show next Sunday 8/8 in Hermosa Beach at Saint Rocke (142 Pacific Coast Highway in Hermosa Beach, CA 90254) We will be playing fairly early…at 8 pm, in support of the touring “Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band”…wish I had thought of that name. Damn. Tickets are $10. Should be a good time for all.

If any of ya are interested in hangin’ in Hermosa Beach for a bit before the show, let me know. The late afternoon sounds like it has all the ingredients for a good hang.

Also…we are looking to update the Upstart email list-thing. So…I’ll include you on the “official” band emails, unless you let me know that you would rather not have Upstart all up in your Inbox.
